Once again, not new, but probably new to you. Syntax is a group I discovered while watching the show “Bones” - I bought the album the next day. UK electronica group - it looks like they have broken up though - crap - that always happens. Anyway, check out the vid for “Pride.”
Awesome right? Not sure if this is the official vid, but pretty understated - it lets you capture the essence of the song.
Watch this video - I thought this was a model plane - unbelievable!!!
Casey Chambers and Shane Nicholson sing “Rattlin Bones.” While I am not much into country music, I really am drawn to this song. First heard it on Conan O’Brien. Interesting to find out they are from Australia, and even more interesting to listen to their other music. Casey is definitely a country girl, but Shane seems to come from a whole other world. Hope you enjoy this piece - let me know what you think.
Music doesn’t have to be new to be cool.
One of my favorite “oldies but goodies.”
From our friends over at Motivated Photos…
Perhaps we shouldn’t wait for New Years to start dieting and exercising…
Hmm, watcha think?
Yeah, I am going to be putting up my top ten list of albums of the last 10 years pretty soon (well, in the whole scheme of things it’ll be pretty soon). Here is just a little taste of what will be on there:
Wanna beat me to it? Put your top 10 below - let’s see if we match up on anything.
Oh yeah, I am going to cop-out and put one best-off on there - but it had new music on it, so I kind of used that as a “weasel clause.”
…and hate it too…takes up a lot of my time. So is this a big regret? No - I still love it. While doing my usual daily search, I came across this post on social media guy Chris Brogan’s site about a video based upon a search of people’s “biggest regrets” done by singer/songwriter Chris Blake. Now I am an instant fan.
Nice song…and read along…we all have regrets whether you admit it or not. The best thing about regrets is being able to learn from them……before it is too late………
Face dancing, driving way too fast, and you will become a troll. I really like rocketboom.com…
So I have been seeing advertisements in my local market for a service called WOMF or Word Of Mouth Forum. It is a forum for people from specific areas to share their opinions on different issues, services, and businesses in their local area.
It is a very cool site - you see the homepage is a map of the world and you will notice little icons pop-up with people’s real-time postings (from what I can gather) of their opinions on different things from around the world.
Strange thing is how limited this service is. It would seem (again, from what I can gather) that WOMF is an Australian company and also is registered as an LLC in the United States.
I like the site, but as stated above service is limited. As a matter of fact, based upon the drop-down menu on the homepage, these are the only areas currently serviced:
Australia
Namibia
New Zealand
South Africa
United Kingdom
United States of America
- Hawaii
- Portland
- Tri-cities wa
- Yakima
It seems that there must not be too many pressing issue these days for the United States with the economy
being in perfect shape and all…so congress needed to have a debate over whether or not they could communicate with their constituents via third party web-based platforms like Twitter. Nice to know all is right with the world huh?
